What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy can create positive, lasting changes in how you think, behave and feel.

It will empower you to take control, to make whatever changes you need and enable you to achieve the goal(s) you desire and lead the life you want.

The truth is that you have most of the resources you need now, to create that positive change; you simply need help to access them.

My passion is to help women like yourself to change, using a combination of clinical hypnotherapy, strategic psychotherapy, NLP and coaching. The key to my success is that I use a very particular type of hypnosis that most therapists in Australia have not had access to.

I specifically tailor your sessions to suit your individual needs, focusing on addressing the "gaps" that I discover during your session and look at how you are currently approaching your present situation/issue.

This enables me to teach you how to cope better in the future when you come up against a similar situation.

It is a solution orientated, brief therapy approach. It does’t matter how long you’ve had the issue, what treatment you’ve received previously or what changes you’ve made yourself to better your situation, I can still make a great difference.

What happens in Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is an altered state of awareness. We all experience hypnosis every day; day dreaming, forgetting parts of your car journey, losing yourself in a good book or a movie. This is all self-hypnosis!

All hypnosis is self-hypnosis.

As a Hypnotherapist I use hypnosis to enable you to achieve a state of mental, physical and emotional relaxation. When in hypnosis, the conscious mind (that busy, critical, analytical part of the mind) takes a rest. Hypnosis allows you to tap into the storehouse of information that lies in your subconscious mind and make positive changes to your thought patterns and habits that are having a negative impact on you, either mentally or physically.

We all experience hypnosis differently, for some it's a heightened sense of awareness; for others a deep relaxation. You may hear every word I say, my voice may fade in and out or become completely inaudible. You are never under the 'control' of the hypnotherapist, you are always in control and are always free to alter your hypnotic experience or awaken whenever you wish. You cannot be made to do anything you do not want to!

Hypnosis is a safe, normal and a naturally occurring state of mind. It is totally DRUG FREE and to my knowledge there has never been any documented cases of harm resulting from the use of hypnosis. We all need to develop appropriate coping strategies when an incident first occurs, so that we don't continue to carry any hurt around with us. E.g., going for a walk, calling a friend, meditation, breathing exercises etc.

So, if you want to make a change, try hypnotherapy.
